Schedule of Events
C2 – Saturday
• Registration begins at Wallace Park at 8:30 am with the race starting at 11:00 a.m.
• Day of registration fee (E2): $30 (pre-registration: $20)
• Day of registration fee (E1): $40 (pre-registration: $30)
• Two Expert 1 heats. Second heat will start six minutes after the first. Expert 2 will begin shortly after second Expert 1 heats.
A new seawall has been installed at Wallace Park, so make sure to be careful.

One paddler will run to the river where partner and canoe are waiting

• Race time is typically 1:20 to 1:50 hours
• Lunch donated by the Grayling Moose Lodge will be served at 1:00 p.m.
• Awards following lunch
• Afterglow party at Jack’s Place, Roscommon
C1 – Sunday
• Registration begins at Wallace Park at 8:00 a.m. with the race starting at 10:00 a.m.
• Registration: $20 (Pre-registration fee: $15)
• Your starting position is determined by the order in which you’ve registered.
• There will be a fifteen second interval between each racer.
• Race to just below Steckert Bridge, make a clockwise turn, then paddle back to town
• Awards to follow at conclusion of races
Paddlers who do both the C1 and C2 races are entered in a raffle to win a prize!
May 12th (Mother’s Day) Moms race free!!!
Over $1500 in prizes! Bonuses for Mixed (3 places), Women’s, Masters, Seniors, C-1
Youth Bonus for paddlers 19 and under.
*Must be an MCRA member to receive points or prize money.
Other Notes
The Ausable River Center is Open and admission is free. There are a
lot of historical canoe/river things to see.
THOU SHALT NOT PARK IN THINE CHURCH PARKING LOT!
Paddle Brave Livery (on the South Branch) is open for camping race
weekend.

From South: I-75 North, Exit 239, Right onto M-18/E Michigan Hwy
3 miles-Park is located on the left – just past the Catholic Church
From North:I-75 South, Exit 244,Left onto W. Federal Hwy/CR 200
3.8 miles, Turn left at light onto Lake Street. 2 miles – Park is located on
left – just past the Catholic Church
