C2 and C1 Races

Schedule of Events
C2 Saturday
- Registration begins at Wallace Park at 9:00 am with the race starting at 11:00 a.m.
- Registration fee $25
- Two Expert 1 heats. Second heat will start six minutes after the first. Regardless of heat, it is all the same race. Expert 2 will begin shortly after second Expert 1 heat.
- Note: Due to having to start the race in two heats, we would like it to be known that if you dont get registered by 10:30 you will be placed in the second heat. Otherwise we end up delaying the start and that doesnt make us too popular with the sheriff as they send a car to stop the traffic.
Expert 1 Race
One paddler will run to the river where partner and canoe is waiting
Paddle to Deerhart Valley Road
Clockwise turn around buoy
Paddle to town.
Expert 2 Race
One paddler will run to the river where partner and canoe is waiting
Paddle to just below Steckert
Clockwise turn around buoy
Paddle to town
- Race time is typically 1:20 to 1:50 hours
- Lunch will be served at 3:00 p.m.
- Awards following lunch
C1 Sunday
- Registration begins at Wallace Park at 8:30 a.m. with the race starting at 10:00 a.m.
- Registration fee $15
- Your starting position is determined by the order in which you’ve registered.
- There will be fifteen second interval starts between each racer.
- Race to just below Steckert Bridge, make a clockwise turn, then paddle back to town
- Awards to follow conclusion of race.
Special Note
THOU SHALT NOT PARK IN THINE CHURCH PARKING LOT!!
Parking is available at Hiawatha Canoe Livery or along the street.
Paddle Brave Livery (on the South Branch) is open for camping race weekend.

Park is located on the left - just past the Catholic Church
From North:
I-75 South
Exit 244
Left onto W. Federal Hwy/CR 200
3.8 miles
Turn left at light onto Lake Street
