4/20/08 - The Grand Ledge Canoe
Race results are posted.
4/17/08 - Clarification as to why the Grand Ledge Race is not a MCRA Points race. A motion approved at the March 29, 2008 MCRA Membership Meeting stated: "Slate of 2008 Proposed races that meet the MCRA Guidelines and Awards will be 2008 point races." In compliance with the motion the Grand Ledge Race this Saturday will not be a points race since they were unable to secure funds for a C-1 class.
The Grand Ledge community will host an inaugural spring C-2 canoe race with a purse of $1,000. We hope you can be a part of this race.
4/15/08 - Please join your fellow paddlers with a C-2 (Expert 1 and Expert 2) race on Sat. April 19. This spring kick-off race will not be part of the MCRA points schedule, but we hope you will support the first Grand Ledge Race. It is hoped this kick-off race will become a MCRA Point Race in future years. Thanks to Ray Trudgeon, Todd VanDeVan for their efforts to initiate this race on the Grand River.
